I DID IT!!!

It's almost too hard to believe! I actually have all my cards in envelopes & addressed! Now I just have to run them to the P.O. tomorrow and buy postage for them. (That doesn't excite me as much as the fact that they will actually be sent out and done with until next year.) So the day before Christmas is pretty late but they were all hand made with love, by yours truly. That's gotta count for something, right?

We got a good chunk of presents wrapped yesterday. Josiah actually finished up the boys presents last night....he was doing theirs, I was doing the girls. I get to finish the girls either tonight or tomorrow night. I'll probably recruit him to help.

I have a few last minute things that I get to take care of tomorrow. I can't wait to see what stores will be like. I don't think I've been to a store on Christmas Eve in a couple years.

So I realized the other day that I haven't posted any pictures in a while. I just pulled about 80 something off my camera so I'll put up a few on here for those who might be interested...

Santa's visit to the ward Christmas Party...

The girl's piano recital...

My family's annual Christmas party...

I thought I'd gotten a picture of the masterpiece once it was completed, but I guess I was mistaken.

Our tree...I usually get a few more presents under the tree before Christmas Eve, but because of everything else that I planned for myself this year, it sorta got pushed to the side. There are about 8 more presents under there now. The bulk of the wrapped ones are still sitting in our room waiting for bows and will probably not get put under until tomorrow night.

A few of the adorable hand-made ornaments that my mother-in-law has sent us over the years...keep in mind, she makes enough of each of these for every one of her 9 children AND their spouses/significant other....PLUS each of her 18 grandchildren. (Did I count correctly?) She is amazing!

My first attempt at making fudge...the first batch tasted ok, but was not very attractive, which doesn't work in my book....so I tried again. The 2nd batch was a success so I had to make a 3rd using cashews instead of walnuts...YUM!

I think this was where I went wrong on that first batch....I asked Josiah to stir while I did something else real quick, then grabbed the camera for a quick pic of him. I had already put the chocolate chips in and didn't realize that you have to put all the remaining ingredients in very quickly after removing the pan from the heat....my bad!

So that's about it for now. Hope everyone is able to get all they need accomplished before the big guy is scheduled to arrive!

You're right! My bad! But in my defense...Mari isn't on the list. I can't believe that I missed one though from what is there. She has it all color coordinated and everything!
