Happy Birthday, Josiah!!

Josiah turned 32 today. I don't have a picture of him from each of his 32 birthdays though. Sadly I don't even have pictures from the 11 that we've spent together. We don't tend to make a big deal out of our birthdays. We usually go out on a date, but no big production. We were supposed to go out tonight but Josiah ended up having to stay late at work and so we had to reschedule.

I did get a cake for him...

Sadly it's not homemade, but it IS Angel Food cake with Cream Cheese frosting. This has been his favorite for as long as I've known him. Of course I completely forgot when I bought the candles, that we discovered the other day that our fire starter thingamajigger is no where to be found. Josiah thinks it got thrown away after lighting the candles on Alyssa's birthday cake, because it wasn't functioning properly. Anyway, we don't keep matches around the house so that is the explanation as to why his candles were not lit in the picture........and silly me, I just remembered while typing this.......A couple weeks ago when Josiah's mom was in town, she and David had come by one night and while they were here, the lights flickered so I had grabbed a couple candles and the lighter and put them in the living room. Now I'm to blame!

Anyway, I know his day was not the best day ever, but I hope this little tribute here will help him know that he is special!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BABE! WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!

I called him at work on his cell, and he sounded as though he was heavily sedated and yet being kicked by 9 Leprechauns. Drowsy and irritable. I hope everything is okay, and I hope he had a good birthday anyhow!

Look at that picture of him! "It is my birthday, isn't it? Shucks. Okay, I'll have some cake." :D

Angel food cake and cream cheese icing -- wow, how many times did we have *that* one? Ahh, the memories!

Some birthdays are more spangly than others. Work kind of crashed this one, sounds like. Well, we do what we can -- and you done good, Sarah.

Sounds like the bdays we throw around here. I love the picture, its like he knows its going on the blog and he's just doing it because he loves you so. The cake looks homemade that's just as good as homemade! I forgot you married an older man... good choice. Tell him hi from me.

Angel food and cream cheese icing is what I always have on my birthday too, except we cut off the top, empty out much of the middle and fill it with strawberries and whipped cream. Then the top goes back on and THEN we ice it. YUM-O.

Sarah, you are the best possible wife for my dear brother.
