What other period of history might you have liked to live in?...I think it would have been cool to cross the plains with the pioneers. I realize that many of them lost their lives, but I am sure that many of them grew so much spiritually from the experience and think of all the blessings that they received from what they went through, just so we could have the gospel today. It truly amazes me the sacrifices that they put forth. How selfless!

What one thing would you most like to excel at? I wish I could sew. I think I missed out on making dresses for my little girls. And curtains for my house. And all sorts of wonderful things! I didn't have the patience to learn when I was young. I think I wanted to learn, but when it came to understanding the instructions, I lost interest.
Which leads me to wishing I could excel in reading. I envy people who have a love of reading. I have never had that. But I do excel at having the desire! Does that count?

It's never too late to learn to sew. I am available to help. Maybe it would work better now that you aren't a "child". Or there is Leslie or Jill. They both can sew. Start with something small and go from there. As far as reading, just start reading with your kids. Maybe you will find something that you like. If you have the desire, you can make it happen. I have faith in you.
I'm in on that one with you! I'd LOVE to sew...I saw a blog the other day where a girl made the CUTEST dress for HERSELF! I was so jealous! I don't like to read, it puts me to sleep. But I'd like to enjoy reading..if it wasn't so booooring! :D I think my attention span is too short...yah, prolly. Although, I did pick up the Joseph & Emma book and couldn't put it down! REALLY loved that book...guess that's the key. Gotta find something good to read about! {that was the longest comment EVER! sorry}

I was not one for sitting down long enough to read...I found that listening to audio books in the car driving to work or on trips was quite interesting. It has sparked a desire in me to read, and I now make time to, though sometimes it's not until I'm in bed, and it's the last half hour of my day.
