Randomness never ends...

...atleast I have that to fall back on when there is nothing terribly exciting to share!

My scrapbooking area is coming along pretty nicely. Not to say it's nicely organized, but it's getting there. I still have a big mess of papers and pictures and misc stuff sitting on the floor to the left of my "work" space, but I can totally sit at the table that I've set up and get to things without too much difficulty, and I've actually completed a couple pages while sitting at it. Here's one that I actually put together all on my own, in less than 24 hours...
Hopefully my excitement isn't short lived. I'd really like to think that I'll be able to get a page a day done. (Ok, that might be a pretty big bite for me to chew...)

I was sorting through my papers with Rylie the other night and there is just soo much! Tons of cute stuff that I hate to think will just be a pile of paper forever! I need to get it into pages so it can be marveled at!

I can already feel how exhausting this next week is going to be. I get to host preschool. Fortunately it's only Monday and Wednesday, rather than Mon, Wed, Fri...like we did last year. Tuesday night is pack meeting. But honestly, I'm grateful it's pack meeting this week and that I don't have to hold den meeting tomorrow. Thursday I'll spend the day running errands, since I'll have the car. I think Leslie and I have a lunch date scheduled w/Crazymama, so we can finally get her gifts to her that she won from the contests we held. I think I'll be setting up a couple Visiting Teaching appointments for Friday...I still need to check w/my partner on that one. I feel like I'm leaving a thing or 5 out. I'm sure they will catch up to me eventually.

I helped Trenton give a talk today in Sharing Time. That's always fun. You never know exactly what's going to be repeated into the mic. For the most part he did pretty good. "Heavenly Father" was repeated several times throughout the talk and he had a somewhat difficult time saying that. It's like a tongue twister for him. I was actually surprised he didn't repeat it as "Henry Fodder" like he has in prayers he's said. The worst part about me helping him is I tend to chuckle each time he mispronounces something. What's a mom to do?

I have yet to get passed the 2nd chapter in Eclipse. I know the longer I wait, the harder it's going to be to pick it back up and continue. I'm setting a goal right now, of having it finished by next Sunday evening. I'll be sure to let you all know if that happens....or if it doesn't.

I love the picture of Josiah with your kids! So cute and a great idea for a photo. I may borrow that one. I also love your pages from the first day of school. I love to scrapbook but my problem is that I keep putting so many pictures on my pages that they look cluttered. I have to figure out how to pick my one or two favorites instead of three, four or sometimes five on a page. (Yes that's how many I usually put on a page!) I love the stitching on one of Leslie's pages and was wondering how it is done. I think I saw a template or something, where did you find it? I simply love how it looks? And your ribbon organizer- where is that from? I want to steal all your ideas (and stuff!!)

Thanks for posting, I got a laugh out of the talk bit. Really cute! I can't believe you are hardly into Eclipse. I could NOT put it down. You should have seen my house by the time I finished the book. Sorry for the marathon post! Have a good day!

Ok, I want details on your pack meeting...I have a basic Idea of what we are going to do but I am curious what neckerchief slides she uses and cheers and all that kind of stuff. That is assuming she uses the Buddy theme.

LOL... same old Sarah... but instead of giggling during family scripture reading or prayers you are chuckling at your son during his talk... some things will never change...

Yeah, well...I'm uncontrollable! A couple weeks ago during the prayer in sharing time, the little girl repeated into the mic "Please help us to be good mysteries" (shoulda been missionaries...) and a sound came out with my, what was supposed to be silent/to myself, giggle. I was completely mortified!

Like Jeremy said, some things never change. But, we don't want everything to change. That's one of the things that makes you who you are and we love that! Loved your page. But, like I told you on the phone, I have less than 100 pages left of New Moon. Get on it
girl!

I'm so behind in blogs! I read everything to catch up, but can only leave a brief comment, sorry about that. Your pages astound me, Sarah. They are so pretty. Just so pretty. And your ribbon drawer? Yummy! You're a great mom, and so productive!

Nothing like a cute picture with daddy. I am so behind on scrapbooking, so hopefully I can learn a lesson or two from you.

Yeah, BTW, I too am wondering how you do the stitching details on these pages. Do you actually stitch them? By hand or machine?

Sarah said...

Jenna- It is hand stitched. For the most part I use templates that I've bought, for all the spacing. For a few things, like the circles on this page and the "ABC" on the back to school page, I printed them off the compter and just decided spacing on my own, and used the paper for a template...if that makes sense. It's fairly time consuming but well worth it when all is said and done.

Hey Sarah-

Thanks for your comments.
Yes, Todd went to Westwood highschool. Do you know him???
He and his wife met up at BYU!!
Although he is still not out of the woods, he is improving daily.
The Richardson family were in our ward for about 2 years. She lived two houses down from me....so we hung out a lot & our kids became good friends. They have since moved to Safford/Thatcher area.
You have a great memory, but yes....sometimes I cant place a name with a face.
As far as your scrapbooking...Absolutely love your style. Your awesome.
It seems like I may have a lot of friends, but in reality I am just one pea in a pile of pods!!
We should get together with our kiddos. Logan talks about Camden sometimes!!
Hugs :)
