Tagged...

I've been tagged by my good friend Lisa, for the middle name game...facts about me, using my middle name...

Lynn is sooo boring, but because I'm SUCH a good friend, I'm going to play along...

L – Likeable….I’ve always thought of myself as a likeable person. I think I’m generally too shy though, for most people to even form an opinion. Although...that alone may lead them to form the opinion that I’m just a complete snob…hmmm…

Y - Young at heart….I like to be playful. I like to make my kids laugh. I like to be goofy with my husband and laugh and laugh and laugh. (I added that part for him.)

N - Nice…..I tend to be overly nice sometimes. I’m one of those people who wants to make everyone happy. I’ve always been that way. I know, now that I've gotten older, it's impossible to please everyone, so I have to be very selective in who I keep happy.

N - Naïve….(In my case, this often stems from being overly nice) I accept conversations from perfect strangers in the store, thinking they are just nice, friendly people, then they start asking questions, such as…Are you married? How old are you? And I answer, because again, I think they are just being friendly and it went along with the conversation, so it doesn’t seem too out of the ordinary, until they start asking for my # so we can “hang out” …..HEEELLLLLLOOOOOO….I JUST SAID I WAS MARRIED AND HAVE 4 KIDS!!! Anyway, yes, this actually happened to me not too long ago in Wal-mart! And then a few weeks later, a similar sort of thing happened only a completely different man approached me (different Wal-mart too) except, he was a salesman and was just looking for a chance to hand out his card….PRIMERICA! Have I mentioned we (Josiah & I) are ANTI-PRIMERICA?! Anyway, it was still odd and I disliked it.

Now that that is over....I tag....all my sisters-in-law, and my mother-in-law.....I know that 2 of you share the same middle name as me, but I feel as though you may be more creative than I am, so I'd like to see what you come up with! =D

Hey now, my little Aubrey's middle name is Lynn. I think it's beautiful! Snob? I never thought of you that way. Anyway your story about the WalMart pick up lines are SO funny. Like I said you look just as good as you did at 18 so watch our for the weirdos eh! Try making up funny answers - like "yes, I'm married to a tatoo artist and we have 12 pit bulls in our back yard!" ... That's the kind of stuff that's been on the news up here. Would that throw the creeps off a little - you let me know.

I started to play..but my middle name is sooo boring and at this point I can't think of positive things to say about myself. for the 2 N's.. I pretty much had what you had..and repeating people isn't fun!

hi sarah:
thanks for pointing me to your meme. this was fun to read yours. i totally enjoyed doing this meme after i read jenna's answer to "n." that one cracked me up and made me laugh soooo hard. such a hoot! i can relate to your answers. we have a lot in common. i guess i am usually too nice and trusting, and sometimes i get hurt sure, but i have also been blessed with some incredible tender relationships because of this, so i won't change who i am. not cool about the dudes trying to hang out with you after you told them you were married. i am anti-salespeople! will never forget how one time, we could not (for a long time) get this vaccuum cleaner salesman to leave our home after we told him we did not want it. that was 17 years ago and hubby and i swore we would never let a salesperson in our home again because it is easier to walk away from someone, it is not easier to get them to leave you.

i love laughter and being young at heart. i just had a little conversation about this w/one of my awesome co-workers yesterday. she sounded like she was kind of slamming herself for being a kid at heart. i told her that is the best and stop knocking yourself. i said if i couldn't be at kid at heart, i might as well be dead. got it.

fun post. thanks for sharing. take care, kathleen :)
