The Lie Be Told....

Well, it's been fun reading all the responses. But now it's time to reveal my lie...

1. True - I honestly was freaked out about those lights in the sky. I had seen them in the sky many times, but was never actually aware that they were coming from ginormous lights that were sitting on the ground, til quite a bit later in life. If I saw them at night, I'd run back inside so I wouldn't have to face the wrath of any invaders!

2. True - I DID meet my husband on AOL. But to clear up any confusion, it wasn't the fact that he was not an RM that I avoided him, I actually had met another person on AOL who lived in Louisiana, but was arranging to come out to Arizona to meet me in person. We had spoken on the phone quite a bit. Josiah IM'd me a few weeks before this guy was supposed to come. The RM thing comes into play because my profile had mentioned that I was *only* interested in dating an RM. That's how I put it in my profile..."RM"...with no explanation of what an "RM" is. I had received many questions from people who had no idea..."What does RM stand for?" "RICH MAN?!" "REALLY MASCULINE?!" Anyway, The first question Josiah asked when he IM'd me was "Why only an RM?" and being young and naive, I automatically assumed it was someone who didn't have a clue what I was talking about, and so I responded with "because...." I only spoke to him maybe twice on the internet before I knew he was more than worth getting to know better. We went out on our first date on May 10, 1997 and after the 2nd or so night of seeing him, I emailed this "Louisiana Boy" (as he is referred to now whenever it comes up...) and told him I'd found life outside of the internet and that he didn't need to come out. I actually had told my mom after about our 4th or 5th date that I knew he was the one I was going to marry. I even bought my dress before he asked me.

3. Unfortunately, this is my lie. I would love for it to be true, but as of yet, Josiah and I have not had 1 dance lesson. I've suggested many times that we go take some, but talk is cheap, ya know? I do love some of the sexy costumes that the girls wear on DWTS and have even told Josiah that I'd totally wear them if I had the body for it....I can dream, right?

4. That of course makes this one True. I've always thought it would be cool to live in a little town. I can say that, but I know that after living in the city, I'd hate it. So, I should technically change it to, I wish I had grown up in a little town. There are lots of things though that I wish I didn't have, just so that I could experience gaining the knowledge that is required to go along with so much stuff not being readily available. For instance, living on a farm and actually learning how to grow food and fix meals from what I've grown, rather than having a JitB on every other corner to help supply me with rot for my brain.

There you have it! Glad you all came and played along!

wow! i think that would be really fun! but at least you aspire to do your lie! my hubby and I took a ballroom dance class together before it was cool but we weren't very good. i have a hard time letting him lead. or maybe he just can't lead. anyway. my whole family did it together! it was super fun!
