It's Just Another Manic Monday...

This morning started at about 6:30 when I finally pulled myself out of bed after hitting the snooze button about 20 times. I normally only hit it about 3-4 times but Camden and Trenton did a good job of waking me up way too many times during the night. Camden had fallen asleep before dinner last night and woke up about 3 o'clock in the a.m., hungry. Trenton just kept coming into my bed which after the 3rd time of taking him out of there, I finally just plopped on the couch w/him so he could sit and watch t.v. I needed to be getting up anyway since I had such a busy day ahead of me.

The girls were nice enough to wake themselves up this morning which is sucha treat! However, they almost immediately started in on some..."Mommy, I don't wanna go to school today" crap. Alyssa was eaten up by some mosquitos therefore suffering from itch attacks. Rylie was upset because she went to bed too soon after I painted her nails last night and they got smudged just like I told her they would. I told her that night isn't the best time to paint your nails but she would have nothing to do w/my suggestions/recommendations! Anyway, I quickly reminded them that it's only a 3 day week and there's no way they're staying home today. We found some clothes for them to wear and got them ironed. I fixed french toast for breakfast. I rarely fix breakfast. Normally I either throw some frozen waffles in the toaster, cinammon rolls in the oven, or make them eat cereal. I was glad I'd made it though. It was so yummy! After they ate, I fixed Alyssa a lunch and gave Rylie $2 and had Josiah take them to school. They ended up being a good 10 minutes late....which reminded me why I don't normally fix breakfast.

Now that the girls were out the door, I had to get the boys ready for preschool, as well as get myself ready to leave, since I would be driving Josiah to work today. We dropped the boys off then had to head to Auto Zone to buy a new battery because ours decided it had had enough. Thank goodness my brother has a batter charger/starter that he let us borrow on Saturday so we could have it in case we needed it again. We had to jump it for church yesterday and hoped that it would start up again afterwards, but no....we had to get our Home Teacher to give us a jump. But hey, they are always asking if there's anything they can do to help. I'm sure he was happy to do so. Rylie was embarrassed though. That made me chuckle a little. So, after buying the battery and getting it changed, we came back home for about an hour or so, before we needed to pick the boys up from preschool. After picking them up I took them to my sister-in-law's house so she could watch them while I went to lunch with my friend Lisa who is down from Idaho for Thanksgiving. I took Josiah to work then headed to her parents house to pick her up. We went to Chipotle at the new Tempe Marketplace. It was so nice to sit and chat with her. It was nice that we didn't have to do much "catching up" since we've been in such good contact through blogs. We were able to just jump into conversation. We sat there for a good hour eating and chatting. Then I had to head back to pick up my boys, so I took Lisa back to her parents and her dad was kind enough to take a few pics of us real quick...

The whole drive back though, I kept thinking....This is so not fair! I can't believe I have to take her home already! We needed more times to sit and reminisce! Well, maybe she'll move back...hehe...hint hint, Lisa...

So I got my boys and went home to wait for the girls to get home from school. Once they arrived, we headed over to Safeway and Albertson's to pick up some last minute things for our Thanksgiving feast. Well, I guess Wednesday night would technically be considered last minute, but the stuff I needed/wanted is on sale and it ends tomorrow. The boys were pretty much themselves. Danced around alot, touched way more than what their "touching quota" was for the day, got in people's way, etc. Mostly I was just super glad to find 5 bags of the corn that was on sale for $.69. Fry's had it on sale also, but when I was there the other day, I couldn't even find a spot for where it should be. Once home, I had the kids empty the contents of the bags on the kitchen floor so I could easily put them away.

By now it was almost time to get Josiah. Our plan was to go directly from picking him up to the gym, so I decided I should get some food in the kids first. I reheated some left over chicken parmigian that I had made last night. It was still good! I packed up a bag of clothes for Josiah to change into for our work out and out the door we were again. For the ride over, Rylie had brought along a Junie B Jones, book on cd that she'd gotten I think in a kids meal from some place. It was quite entertaining to listen to.

For once, we got to the gym on time. We got a good hour and 10 minute workout in before heading back home. I had even lost about 1.5 lbs since last Monday. Totally exciting! Before returning home, we stopped at the local neighborhood Walmart so I could run in and buy some bread....since I used all that we had for breakfast this morning.

After showering I came in the den and stalked a couple blogs before convincing myself to go ahead and post about my day today, rather than tomorrow when I'm super busy w/yet....another day!

Leslie (my sister-in-law) and I are planning to run to Once Upon A Child in the morning. I have some clothes of my girls that I want to sell, she wants to look for a baby swing. Sometime during the day I need to call my VT back (she left a message today) to let her know tomorrow night wont' be good because I have Pack Meeting, which fortunately I remembered before it was too terribly late, because I scheduled for the child care at the gym again! Yikes! That could have been messy. My Bears are supposed to do the Flag Ceremony and I volunteered to make 2 dozen chocolate no bake w/pb cookies.......that I don't have a recipe for! Eep! Anyone care to help a girl out? I will probably end up googling it. Me and Google are like this...X...Sooooo...I get to make those cookies also, and hopefully in all my hectic busy-ness, I won't forget to call/email the boy's parents to remind them.

Well anywhoo....I think this post has gone on for long enough....It's 11pm now! Until next time.............

YOu beat me to it posting that picture. I have one ready to go for my blog but keeping up on it is proving to be harder than I thought. This vacation is busy as usual. Actually a bit more busy with helping on wedding plans. I had such a great time visiting and felt like we needed more time too. I can't ever rule out a move back to AZ because Jake talks about it several times a year! YOu just never know. Maybe you guys could just move to Idaho!!
