We Must Be Having Fun....

Today is our 10 year anniversary and I gotta say...it has flown by! Not to say it hasn't had its ups and downs, but fortunately, we've experienced more ups.

Josiah took this whole week off from work so we could just hang out and spend time together. It has been nice. We've gone to lunch a couple times this week and gotten some breakfast. Today we went to Macayo's for lunch and after that we stopped by Ballys to renew our membership. We joined back in '99 and had our membership til '03 or so when we moved to Apache Junction. We canceled because the drive would have been ridiculous and we lost some motivation.

In the last few months we'd really been discussing rejoining, especially after I got bored of working out at home so soon after getting into it. Plus I really like going and working out with Josiah. Our plan is to go about 4 times a week. We are both totally excited about this. It's probably the best anniversary gift we've given ourselves.

Sooo...we went ahead and went down there tonight and worked out for about an hour. We started out on the elyptical machine for 10 minutes. I got a little nervous because my heart rate was going up kinda fast. I was afraid it was gonna keep going and then explode. It didn't though. Whew! I was pretty proud of myself though. I made it through the whole 10 mins...Josiah was close to dying after 5, but he made it to 8. Shhh...don't tell him I mentioned this. He headed to the nautilis machines after that and I saw this new (new as in they didn't have it 4 years ago...) stair thing that I just had to try out. It was similar to an escalator type dealy, only it rotated between like 8-10 steps. So I climb on it thinking I'm gonna "run the bleachers" right? YEAH RIGHT! First I had to figure out how to get it to move faster. Once I'd achieved that, which wasn't really the speed I used to go when I'd run bleachers, I went for like 2 mins before I thought I was going to puke. I think I gotta wait til I lose about 20 lbs before I can do those. (Which may be never...) I had to sit, quickly, so I wouldn't pass out. So I walked over to a nautilis machine, I think it was the crunch one, and I did a couple sets of those, then hopped to a couple more before finding my way to the bicycle to cool down. I wanted to get on a treadmill too, but the one I got on I guess I wasn't qualified for because it wanted me to put in some sort of ID. Oh well. I didn't feel like asking anyone about it and there were actually a couple other types of treadmills, but by this point I felt like I'd over done myself for my first time back to a gym and decided I'd wait til we go again. Maybe tomorrow?

Here's to another 10 years!

That's a great anniversary gift, and here's to being able to take a whole week off!

And what other special day are we celebrating, hmmm?

Yes, today we are celebrating the day after we got married. =D

I got the card yesterday. Thank you for the gift. I am partially enjoying it right now. We stopped and got some Jamba Juice this morning after our work out.

Happy Anniversary! I remember the day you got married well. I think it says quite a bit about the caliber of man you got that he would think his anniversary and spending time with his wife deserves time off from work! Yay, Josiah! Working out together sounds fun.

And Happy Birthday, too! You humble little thing!

You've hit a big milestone with this bday... How does it feel to be so old! JK I'm hoping 30 will be my best year ever. I'm very excited about it. We drive out Thurs morning so I can't wait to see you. We need to decide where to go to eat and chat but I'll call you when we get there. I'm thinking I want to go somewhere different (not a soup/salad place). Something like cheesecake factory etc. It's been so long, I know there must be a cool new place neither of us have been to. I'll be checking around. Glad you had such a nice anniversary. It seems like time has both flow by and gone in slow motion... seems like forever ago that I was wearing my pretty green dress and ironing your wedding dress on the chapel stage! I think you SHOVED the cake at Josiah if I remember right...?

Hmmm, I've got pictures around here somewhere, including one of Hannah at your reception, dancing barefoot (long day, sore feet)with one of Josiah's best men. Not Grant, the other guy. Name eludes me. :o)
