Saved by the TACO Bell...

Due to the fact that I took Josiah to work yesterday, which meant I'd need to be gone picking him up during the time that I'd usually be getting dinner ready, our "make a meal Monday" turned into "Run to the Border Monday." I realize everyone has their own oppinion about Taco Bell, but I happen to like it.

I had planned on fixing Chicken "corn on blue"...as some of my kids think it's pronounced. I realized on the way home from picking Josiah up that I hadn't even made it to the grocery store yesterday to pick up the swiss cheese that I would need to make it, so I decided we'd just have some fast food instead and I'd make the chicken cordon bleu tonight.

I've been busy with this that and everything else the last week, so I haven't had much time to do any new scrapbook pages, but I did make this card...

It was for a lady that I visit teach who just had a baby a few weeks ago. I had bought a cute little basket to put the gift in, rather than a gift bag, and decided it needed a handmade card to go along with it, instead of one bought from the store. I think it turned out pretty cute.

As I mentioned previously, I took Josiah to work yesterday, which is not typical for a Monday. Some things I'd been eyeing at Hobby Lobby last week, that I decided not to get because I didn't need them right now for anything and I knew that they'd go on sale for 50% off in the next couple weeks, went on sale yesterday. I wanted to get there at the beginning of the week because I was sure that if I waited til I had the car on Thursday, that the pickins would be pretty slim. It was just some brads, so nothing terribly exciting, but still I'd rather pay 1/2 price than full. Especially with how expensive of a hobby scrapbooking is.

Last night I was finishing up the aforementioned card in the living room, on the floor, while watching Heroes with Josiah. We called the kids in just before 9pm to have family prayer, so the kids could get into bed and as Alyssa sillily kneeled on the floor, she crunched up one of my cardstock papers, so I told her to settle down and that she owes me $.55 to replace it...Josiah just about flipped. I think he literally choked on his gasp. He has seen how much paper I have. Fortunately I was able to back it up with..."remember I was just telling you the other night that most of the paper I have is from Tanya & my mom?!" Anyway, I suddenly felt really bad for the fact that I've let myself get all caught up in buying stuff to scrapbook with and such. I guess I need to get crackin' and crankin' out some pages, huh?

That being said....what am I still doing sitting here?!

See you all in a few years......with tons of pages to show for my time away...

You are so funny! $.55 is half a taco for goodness sake! but paper will last longer. It's all relative. Cool idea to make her pay for it. I've been in a dinner rut lately so Taco Bell sounds yummy to me. Have fun scrappin'.
