I Have a 10 Year Old?!!?

It almost doesn't seem possible. But, believe it or not, Rylie turned 10 years old on Saturday. I think I'm handling it better than Josiah. Now, when my BABY is 10 years old...that might be a different story!

I love this picture. It was taken sometime during February(ish) of 2001. Rylie was just about 2 years old.

How is it that it only seems like such a short amount of time that she went from that to this...

Saturday was her birthday which was nice because we were able to have her party the same day. We went with a movie night theme. Here is the front of the invitations that I made for her to pass out to her friends from school...

And the cake that my awesome sil Hannah made...

She never disappoints! Thanks a ton, Hannah!

Josiah and the girls found the perfect balloon...

Instead of doing the typical treat bag, I used the plastic popcorn cups that you can find at Target, and filled them w/a bag of movie theatre candies, a mini can of soda, a microwave bag of popcorn, and each girl also got 4 little bracelets in their popcorn cup. I thought they turned out cute!...

We ate Barro's pizza for dinner and the girls watched An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong. A really cute movie. The girls all seemed to enjoy it. In all, counting Rylie & Alyssa, friends from school and cousins, we had 14 girls here. Needless to say, it was very LOUD.

Besides the movie, they also took turns playing Rock Band...

We love you, Rylie! Hope you had a great birthday!

I just can't believe it Sarah! Please tell her I said she has to stop growing now. 10 is the limit. So sorry.

The whole party looks like such fun! Great ideas.

How cute and fun! I LOVE the treat "bag" idea! I know, when the first one reaches double digits, it's a little overwhelming. And then they all seem to follow on some mad downhill chase after each other! They just don't stay little!

You could try putting a brick on her head to keep her from growing, but I don't think that works very well.

Cute ideas! Looks like a happy birthday, indeed!
