Saturday Exercise!

I have found that I love the way I feel about myself when I am active in working out. This week I worked out each day. Monday morning started extra early w/my 45 minute core workout at 5am. Followed immediately by my typical Monday morning run. Tuesday is my day off for running but instead of sleeping in, I got up at 6 and did my core workout again. Wednesday I just did my morning run. Thursday I didn't wake up early to workout, instead I got dressed for it, got the kids off to school, came home and THEN worked out. (45 minutes of core) Friday was my usual run again. Saturday I would typically sleep in however this morning, I woke up at about 6:15 and my legs felt sorta achy. Instead of laying there not being able to fall back to sleep I opted to get up and go running.

Aside from exercising this week, I've done a fairly decent job of watching what I eat. I'm not trying to say I'm on a diet...I honestly hate that word. But still, I believe you can have your cake and eat it too...just in moderation. That's what I always learned. Moderation.

So I've been eating homemade oatmeal for breakfast. I love oatmeal. I remember my mom fixing it for breakfast when I was a kid and I loved it then. The nice thing about oatmeal though, is how filling it is and the fact that I don't feel the urge to snack all the way through til lunch, because I never quite got that satisfied feeling. For lunch most days this week, I had broccoli in cheese sauce. Those Green Giant Steamers bags are my new best friend! I know, it's probably more healthy raw, but I figure if I'm atleast adding it to my diet in some form, that's probably better than before, right? For dinner, I've eaten whatever I've fed the family, just smaller portions.

I feel good. I'm attempting to lose another 10-15 lbs. Anybody with me??

Awesome Sarah! I've still got around 5 pounds I want to lose but I've been slacking lately. I definitely could use more exercise I'm just too lazy.

ummm..I want to loose umm about 30-45lbs. Maybe if I don't go buy large strawberry shakes from jack in the box almost everyday, I can loose the weight. But I can't start for another 6 weeks!!

You're doing so great! So inspirational! Good for you. And I'm here, don't worry. I just often can't leave comments because my computer is stupid. But I'm so glad you're blogging again! Love that cookie idea!
