Out of the Mouths of Babes...

Trenton said the funniest thing this morning as we drove past one of these...

Trenton: "Mom, we should go through the backwash..."

I'm still laughing. Just hearing things like this when they so innocently have no clue that they are saying it wrong or calling it the wrong thing. Moments like this are what make being a mom worth it!

In other news...

I never mentioned how my mother's day was and my husband deserves some credit, so I'll mention it now. It was very nice! First of all, he ordered a floral cookie bouquet for me from his sister, Hannah. Totally sweet (no pun intended..) of him. Sunday morning he woke up before me (very unusual for him) and fixed me breakfast in bed. He prepared the lesson for our primary class and even gave it! After church we came home and he fixed lunch for all of us. We had spent the night before w/my family to celebrate my dad's birthday and mother's day, so we didn't get together with them for dinner Sunday. Last year I had my whole family over for dinner. I was focused on making it a nice Mother's Day for my mother. This year was very relaxing and I appreciate my husband doing anything he could to make it a great day for me! Thanks, Babe!

The last couple days our A/C hasn't been functioning properly. Some guy came out last week to take a look at it but really didn't do anything. He said it looks like the fan is freezing up from not getting a proper amount of air flow? Anyway, he gave a couple suggestions of things to try and for a few days it was working just fine with no problem. Well over this past weekend it started acting up again and yesterday it was out ALL day! For those who may not be aware, we set a record high yesterday of 110°!! That's not cool! (again, no pun intended!) I called the maintenance people and first got a voice mail. After not hearing back from them for several hours and the temp in our house going up to 91°, I called again and actually got a live person. As of today though, they have yet to send someone else out to fix it. It worked ok this morning and cooled it down to 79°, but I put it back to just the fan for a few hours while I was taking Josiah to work and visiting the gym. I was hopeful that it would come back on when I got back home, but nope. So here we sit, temperature rising. What do we do? Maybe this is a sign that we are supposed to move. We have still not heard back from our property manager about the lease renewal. I asked to speak to her yesterday when I called, but she was conveniently out of the office....again! UGH!!

Happy Tuesday!

Your always welcome to come hang out at our house to cool off...However, I do hope it gets fixed tomorrow. Hopefully they can figure out whats wrong with it and actually do something besides give you worthless words of advise.

110! That is really NOT COOL! And the AC, I cry for you my friend. I'm glad you had a good Mother's Day, you deserve to be spoiled. Maybe tomorrow I'll take my kids through the BACKWASH! They always have fun there. Very adorable! I'm laughing.

I recommend against the backwash... unless it is actual backwash designated solely for washing your back and completely sanitary. I offered to let Josiah come over to our house while you were at pack meeting and he said he was already down to his undies... I think it's all his doing so he can have an excuse to run around in his skibbies!

did you change the filters? that is the first thing to do. ours would freeze up, it was leaking freon, and then they'd charge it and it worked fine. then our compressor went out. HUGE BUMMER, no a/c sucks!

Gold star for your hubby! sounds like your mothers day was Fab.

That is so sweet of your hubby! The best gifts are sometimes ones that don't cost anything at all.

Ugh about the a/c....I hate repairs of any kind!

And so funny about the backwash. I love the things kids say.
