5-16-09

The weekend of the 16th we were supposed to have gone camping w/my family. However, after some unexpected events and unsure feelings Josiah and I were both having (because even though we finally had the oil changed and got new tires back in Feb/March, we are now experiencing some serious vibrating when we step on the brake in our car), we decided it'd be best if we just stayed home.

This was obviously upsetting to the kids especially since we've had to cancel several "road trips" in the last couple years due to either car issues or lack of money. We felt bad and decided to make the most of our weekend even if it didn't include mountains and campfires and outhouses.

We spent the morning at Jeepers which the kids thoroughly enjoyed...

After that we headed over to Fuddruckers for lunch. SOOOO YUMMMY! (Except we were a little upset that they no longer serve their chipotle bbq burger!)

After that we headed home and did a little swimming and then set up a tent that we picked up that morning so the kids could still "camp out" in the living room.

I think all in all, the kids as well as Josiah and I, were able to enjoy the weekend even if it didn't include gettin' outta dodge! We are hopeful that by the next trip, we will have our car problem figured out.

Oooo!!! How fun! I wanna come play!

I'll bet the kids are lovin it now that they can put an actual tent up in the living room instead of trying to figure out a sheet tent!

Adorable..simply adorable.

That sounds like so much fun! Josiah probably remembers how often we slept in sleeping bags in the living room because it was the only room in the house that had a window A/C unit and summertime in NJ is HOT and MUGGY. Looks like you guys made the most of the weekend anyway. You're so great with your kids. And Sarah? Your skin is always so pretty! You're never going to look old.

I hope you get your breaks taken care of soon, too, but this looks like so much fun!
